Hi Ken,
Welcome back to planDisney! It's always a pleasure to see returning Guests, and I can only imagine how excited you must be as you prepare for your upcoming adventure to a galaxy not so far away! With plans to build not one but two droids and two lightsabers, it sounds like the Force is strong with your travel party!
Now, on to your question about shipping your custom creations home to Hawaii. While
Walt Disney World Resort offers
shipping services through merchandise locations, the exact cost of sending droids and lightsabers varies depending on factors like box size, weight, destination, and current shipping rates. Because these elements are out of Disney’s control, it’s not possible to provide a precise price quote in advance.
That said, here’s something I’ve done that might work well for you: I like to pack a small collapsible duffle bag in my luggage. If I’ve gathered enough Disney swag (and let’s be honest, I always do), I use that extra bag as a checked item on my flight home. In many cases, it ends up being more cost-effective than shipping, and it gives me the chance to carefully wrap and protect my new treasures myself. So while I can’t give you an exact number, I hope this gives you a few options to consider as you plan to transport your Star Wars swag across hyperspace!
Since you’ll be visiting
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I’d be happy to share a few other recommendations to enhance your visit. Be sure to swing by
Woody’s Lunch Box and try one of their famous Lunch Box Tarts. They're a sweet treat with just the right amount of nostalgia. If you’re in the mood for something refreshing, head over to
Anaheim Produce for a frozen margarita that hits the spot. And to cap off your day with some real Disney magic, don’t miss
Fantasmic!—it's a dazzling nighttime spectacular that’s out of this world.
If you have any other questions as you finalize your plans,
feel free to reach out.
May the magic (and the shipping logistics) be with you,
Brent
