Hi, I was wondering if you could confirm if there are themed nights (and what these might be) on board Disney Fantasy sailing from Southampton 31st July. Thank you!

Ahoy there, Michael, and welcome back to planDisney! It’s wonderful to hear from a fellow Disney fan across the pond, and I’m so glad you reached out as you prepare for your 5-Night Disney Cruise to Spain this summer.

As someone who loves to plan ahead, I completely understand wanting to know what attire to pack, especially when there’s themed fun on the horizon! Here’s what you can expect for your sailing aboard the Disney Fantasy at the end of July:

Night 2 (after your relaxing day at sea) will be your Optional Dress-Up Night, a great time to dust off your sharpest suit and slip into something extra special for dinner. No need to go full ballgown or tux (unless you want to!), but it’s a lovely evening to enjoy a bit more elegance onboard. One fun way to fit in is to coordinate your outfit with your dining rotation. For example, if you’re dining at Royal Court that evening, it’s a particularly fitting setting for something regal! And of course, onboard photographers are available to capture your best looks, whether you're channeling Captain Jack or a modern-day Prince Charming.

Night 4 (following your port stop in Bilbao) is your Pirate Night! While fireworks are not scheduled for this itinerary, you’ll still be treated to a swashbuckling celebration complete with a themed dinner, greeting your favorite Disney friends in their finest pirate garb, and plenty of opportunities to get in the spirit with your fellow scallywags. planDisney tip: If you're planning to dress up for Pirate Night (which I highly recommend!), you’ll likely receive a themed bandana in your stateroom, but many Guests love to go all out (think eye patches, striped shirts, and the occasional parrot on the shoulder).

Wishing you a magical sailing, Michael, filled with sunshine and sea breezes. If any more questions pop up as you count down to embarkation day, we hope you’ll send us another message in a (virtual) bottle here at planDisney. We’re always happy to help you plan with confidence and cruise in true Disney style.

Cheers, and may your holiday be practically perfect in every way!
