Welcome to planDisney, Kate! I’m thrilled to hear about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World in August 2024!
The new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass offer a fantastic way to maximise your time in the Parks. Let’s explore what we know so far about these new options.
Your understanding is spot on. Currently, Guests must be on US soil to access the advance purchase of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass or the Lightning Lane Single Pass. Once you arrive, as a
Disney Resort hotel Guest, you can book for your entire stay (up to two weeks). One of the great features of the updated Lightning Lane Multi Pass is that you’ll know what three rides are available and the timings of prebookable Lightning Lanes, giving you greater clarity before purchase.
You may also like to consider mixing things up with some days without Lightning Lanes or alternating Multi Pass and Single Pass days. The
Magic Ticket provides 14 full days of Park Hopper access to all the Parks, including the Water Parks. There’s so much to enjoy beyond the big thrills - from
shows to
dining - that you may find some days in the Parks without Lightning Lanes equally delightful. Our family really enjoys these relaxed and spontaneous days.
I hope this information helps, and I recommend keeping an eye on the Walt Disney World website for any updates. Enjoy planning your magical adventure, Kate, and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions!
