    I was wondering how charging to your Key to the World card works. If we leave a credit card, can we pay off the balance before we check out? I love the idea of only having that card to carry around, but our Disney jar is filled with actual money! Thank you

    Hi Kellie!

    We always charge everything to our Key to the World card, and you're right - it does simplify things by only worrying about carrying one card around! At some point during our trip I visit to the front desk to apply my Disney rewards card to our account balance and pay down some of our charges.

    You have a few options here. When you check in, you can apply your cash towards your room key. In this case it would work sort of like a debit card. You can make your purchases by using your room key which will deduct the money from your account.

    Secondly, you could put a credit card on file and then visit the front desk before checking out and pay your balance with the cash. You could keep the cash safe in your room safe during your stay and take it down to the front desk when you're ready. I would probably go with this option because knowing me I would spend more than my budget and would want to have the credit card on file to account for my overspending! Of course, the cash option may keep your spending on track.

    In any case, you won't have to worry about carrying a lot of cash around with you. I hope one of these options will work for you! Have a wonderful trip.
