I was wondering if the characters themselves made visits to your hotel room at the resorts to do wake ups in person, or is it just phone calls? We are coming down in June for our oldest daughters 6 birthday and just wanted to see if they came to the rooms

It would certainly be fun to be woken up by Mickey himself even once during your vacation, wouldn't it, Susan?  Unfortunately, though, there are just far too many guests and not nearly enough characters to go around.  You might be happy to hear, though, that you can schedule a wake-up call each morning of your trip and I'd venture to guess that you'll recognize the voice on the other end of the line.  And since you're celebrating a birthday, do inquire at check-in about the special birthday wake-up calls; the Cast Member should be able to set that up for your daughter's big day.  Also be sure to stop in at Guest Services (in any of the parks or Downtown Disney) to get a complimentary birthday button for your daughter.  Have a great trip!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
