I am wondering what Character meals would be best for the value and taste, we have a 9 yr old boy and 5 yr old girl. We are going to be at WDW Dec 24-29th. Thank you!

I find that the best food and value for the character meals are those that have the great buffets.  Our family favorite is Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort and you can choose between breakfast or dinner and both are great!  Tied for second choice is Tusker House, Donald's Safari Breakfast in the Animal Kingdom park and Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club resort.

For something just a bit different you might want to consider Mickey's Backyard Barbecue at Fort Wilderness.  It is a barbecue buffet with the standard fare but this meal experience is very different. Instead of the characters coming to you, you will go to them and all children are encouraged to go out on the dance floor and dance with their favorite Disney buddy.  There is a live band and a lot of energy all evening.  For the more timid children, several characters will stand to the sides of the stage for a meet and greet.

Be sure and get those reservations 90 days from your arrival since this will be a very busy time in the parks for the holidays!  Have a magical vacation!
