    I was wondering what changes have been made to The Tilki Room. DD 11 is mild Aspergers and is VERY sensitive to sound and didn't like it much the last time we were there. Had to hold her ears. Is it very loud? Thanks so much! You all are super!

    Hi there, Jennifer!

    Most of the changes that have been made to the Enchanted Tiki Room have been to script and song, returning to the original "Tropical Serenade" that inaugurated the attraction.

    There is still an "angry gods" scene, featuring lightning effects and thunder noise, and there are still "group numbers," in which all of the birds are featured.

    As you experienced, this can be pretty cacophonous, particularly to those who are sensitive to loud and/or discordant noises. In addition, there have been discussions about audible "clacking" noises made by the animatronics, which also could contribute to challenges for someone with super-sensitive hearing.

    One Cast Member suggested getting cute ear muffs for your daughter; while you know her comfort level with this type of things, these might help her enjoy the attraction while not having to put in ear plugs.
