Hi I was wondering since I can’t afford to write an actual letter to my favorite Disney character nor visit Disney myself is it possible that I can send via email or something letting them know I wish to write to them and see if they’ll send me a letter?

    Howdy Antoinette!

Welcome to planDisney. I remember when I was younger that I always loved writing to some of my favorite TV stars and sports heroes. I didn’t always get a response, but it felt great knowing that they had hopefully read my letter. I know many people use email these days to communicate, but there is just something magical about handwriting a letter.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Mickey and his pals have email just yet. It looks like the only way to potentially get ahold of one of your favorite characters would be to send them a good ol’ fashioned letter. I do have to let you know that many of the characters are quite busy bouncing around Walt Disney World, meeting and greeting guests, so getting a response is never guaranteed. You can certainly increase your chances by providing a self-addressed stamped envelope with your letter. You can send correspondence to the following address:

    (Character Name)

    c/o Walt Disney World Communications
    P.O. Box 10040
    Lake Buena Vista, FL. 32830-0040

One thing I love to do in lieu of visiting the parks is to watch all of the amazing shows about them on Disney+. Behind the Attraction is an awesome show all about how some of the most popular rides and attractions were created. Do a quick search for POV, and you can find over 15 videos of first-person views of some of the most popular rides at Disneyland. One of my new favorites is called Disneyland Handcrafted. This documentary is all about the year it took to build Disneyland. I feel like a Disney Parks expert, and even I learned new details about how Disneyland was built.

Antoinette, Walt Disney once said, "A dream is a wish your heart makes," and I sincerely hope you are able to see your dream of receiving a letter from your favorite Disney character come true.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
