    Hi, I was wondering as a Canadian is there anyway to buy/get a magic band before arriving at my resort? Or will I have to go out and buy one after I check into my resort if I want to use a magicband during my vacation. Thanks

    Hello Jenna!

    Welcome back again to planDisney and hello to my northern neighbor! Disney bands or as they are known in the United States- MagicBands are such a fun accessory to use in the Parks. They are great when entering the Parks and Lightning Lanes and as a Walt Disney World Resort guest I love using them to make purchases at shops and dining locations. 

    However, due to various laws, these bands are not allowed to be sold internationally. As a result, they cannot be purchased through the Walt Disney World Resort site before your arrival. You will have to wait till you arrive to purchase them at one of the many merchandise locations in the Parks and the Resorts. Once you buy a band they can be used on future trips so don't lose them! If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you can find bands right in the gift shop. I like to look around a bit before I decide on my band as I really want it to be perfect. (ok, I'm picky)

    I have had a lot of success finding the perfect band in Disney Springs. Disney's Pin Traders and World of Disney are two excellent spots to find the perfect band and any other souvenirs you want to get.
