Hi, I am wondering how we would get to the Campfire at Fort Wilderness from O'hana? Is it worth it or will it take wo much time for travelling. Thanks

    Hi Karen!

I don't think it's a lot of trouble from Ohana's at the Polynesian to the campfire at Fort Wilderness....especially if you have children who see the boat and monorail travel as part of the adventure!

To do it, take the monorail from the Polynesian to Magic Kingdom and then hop on the boat to Fort Wilderness.  When you land at the fort's pier, take a short walk to the bus stop at the end of the Settlement Trading Post on your right and Pioneer Hall on your left (there will be signs).  Choose the Orange Line internal bus that will take you to a stop right in front of the Meadows Trading Post.  The campfire is located right behind it.  The monorail and boat trip will be about 40 minutes but the bus ride will take 10 minutes tops--including wait--as there are always buses running up and down the main thoroughfare of Fort Wilderness.

Keep in mind that the monorail, boat and bus transfer to many is as fun as the 25-minute campfire sing-a-long!  Best of all, the whole experience is FREE!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
