I am wondering about the bus transportation from Animal Kingdom. How often do the buses run to and from the hotel to Magic Kingdom? And does Animal Kingdom have their own bus or does it stop at other hotels as well? What's the latest bus from the park?

Hello and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Buses run approximately every every 20 minutes from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to any of the four Disney Theme Parks.  Typically, AKL shares a bus with Kidani Village which is right next door.  The ride between both resorts is approximately a minute long. Buses will stop by Kidani Village first and then proceed to AKL.  Now, upon your return from the parks, buses will stop at AKL first and then continue to Kidani.  As far as I'm concerned, the transportation system for the Animal Kingdom Lodge is the best!

The Walt Disney World Transportation System runs until one hour after closing.  However, I have noticed with many of my visits that buses will continue running until all guests have been safely delivered back at their resorts. With that being said, just try to make it back at the bus stop at a reasonable time.

Diane's Tip of the Day:  If you plan on visiting any of the WDW Water Parks, the buses will be happy to get you to your destination, too.  Don't forget, you are the one on vacation, so why not let Disney do all the driving.

Have a MAGICAL day and "SEE YOU REAL SOON!"
