Welcome to planDisney, Tina! I love that you’ve already planned on some personal pampering for your upcoming vacation, so I’m happy to help with this question.
I love starting my cruise with a mani/pedi, but I haven’t tried the Fire & Ice yet. I’ve heard it’s incredibly relaxing and you want to make the most of every minute in the spa. Knowing that, I believe it would be best to have your gel nails removed before sailing because even if they are able to remove the gel, it would take away from the time your nail tech could spend on performing all the incredible features of this service.
In addition, I
consulted with a Disney Cruise Line representative, who also recommended having your gel nails removed in advance. I would plan to visit Senses Spa & Salon on embarkation day to ask for yourself, and they may be able to help you with the removal, but it would likely be at an additional fee.
Senses Spa is a must-do while sailing, whether for a beauty treatment or a massage. When you visit them once onboard, be sure to ask if they are offering any specials that will save you money (especially on embarkation day or days in port). It’s the perfect way to unwind, especially before getting ready for dinner and a show!
I know you’re going to enjoy every single minute on the ship. There’s so much to see, do, and eat, so don’t forget to download the free
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before your trip so you have every activity and show schedule in the palm of your hand. And if you think of any other questions before sailing away later this month, I hope you’ll come back to us here at
planDisney.
Bon voyage,
Sami
