Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Paul!
Thanks for stopping by with your question. I see that you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in September. I like that you're thinking ahead!
You bring up a great question about the
free dining offer and how that works. When my family and I travel to the Walt Disney World Resort, we do so on a budget, so I appreciate getting the most bang for your buck!
Unfortunately, in the scenario you describe with military tickets and a reservation through
Disney Vacation Club, you are not eligible for the free dining promotion. If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, however, I will encourage you to take advantage of the Member Benefits and choose restaurants that offer a 10% discount on meals. My family and I love exploring all of the dining options and the discount definitely helps! Browse through the
Member Benefits for a full list of restaurants currently offering this discount.
And finally, since you mentioned having military tickets, have you ever seen the daily
Flag Retreat at Magic Kingdom Park? This is a quick, but touching ceremony that honors veterans for their service. I highly recommend catching it if you can. Walt Disney himself had a deep love of America and it shines on Main Street, U.S.A.
Wishing you a vacation filled with Magic (and great food)!
Lauren
