    Hello i was wondering if i book Disney world and tickets and dining plan with a third party can i still use the Disney planner app? Many thanks

    Welcome to planDisney! Technology sure has come a long way over the years and it's especially evident when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. I remember the "old days" when I had a paper ticket and had to grab paper Fastpasses and keep them all safe in my purse. There were only paper maps and I couldn't determine the wait time for a ride until I was in front of that ride. It was a fun time but not as efficient. 

    Any guest can use the My Disney Experience Mobile App to plan their trips including view their reservation, check out wait times, countdown to their holiday, and so much more. You do not have to have booked directly with Walt Disney World Resort! Now, the difficulty you may face is that downloading the app may be difficult if you are not in the United States. International Guests who have already downloaded the app while on holiday seem to be able to continue to use the app with some features not functioning. Usually, any in-app payment options like purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass will not work until you land on US soil. If you find that you can download the app please have fun with it and explore all of the exciting features like Disney PhotoPass Lenses and the complimentary Disney Genie planning your day service. I like to set up Disney Genie before I arrive so that my must-do activities are featured on my Tip Board. The Tip Board and My Day pages are a great way to organize the plans for the day simply.  Otherwise, your planning will have to remain to what you can access through the My Disney Experience page on the official site. 

    My favorite feature on the app is the directions tool. I can search for anything such as a restroom, attraction, or restaurant, and have the app "map" my way to it. It can provide step-by-step directions through Walt Disney World Resort and even provide an estimated travel time. I love using it to help plan my travels during my stay and determine if I have to leave the pool area now or 15 minutes later.
