I am wondering if we can take a bogey board to ride the waves at Typhoon Lagoon. Thanks for your help

    Hi Kelley!

Typhoon Lagoon is a fabulous water park.  Unfortunately, however, the answer to your question is "no".  You can bring your own snorkeling equipment and/or goggles to Typhoon Lagoon, though masks are not permitted in the wave pool.  You can not bring your own flotation devices, because given the amount of people in the wave pool and the power of the waves, it would be too dangerous for other guests.  Only body surfing is allowed and, believe it or not, that even causes bloody noses and the like from time to time.  The wave pool is that powerful.

Guests can, however, take surfing lessons early in the morning in the wave pool before Typhoon Lagoon officially opens to the public.  Disney supplies the boards.  I've never done it myself, but I've been told it is a lot of fun!
