Hi there, was wondering how the boardwalk works, ..how do you get there? and what hours do they typically keep? we are coming in the first week of Nov, and staying at Saratoga Springs. Have planned each day of our visit and wanted to plan for this! Thanks

    Hi Chrystal!

Disney's BoardWalk Area is a fantastic place to spend an evening or even an afternoon!
Evenings are particularly lively since the whole area is "lit-up" like no other resort area at Walt Disney World! It's like a hidden gem and such a great place to spend some time shopping, strolling, dining or taking in some entertainment.

Getting there is easy and your method of transportation will depend on where you're arriving from. If you'll be in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom or Downtown Disney during the day and heading to the BoardWalk in the evening, simply hop on board a bus headed to Disney's BoardWalk Resort. A short walk in through the lobby and down the stairs (you can't miss the signs!) and you're there!

From Disney's Hollywood Studios, jump onto a Friendship boat and exit at the BoardWalk's dock.
From Epcot, it's just a short walk from the International Gateway located between France and the UK.
From Saratoga Springs, take a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios and then hop onto the Friendship boat.

Typically, the shops along the BoardWalk remain open until about 11:00pm. Restaurants' hours vary by location. The nightlife continues over at Jellyrolls for the 21 and over crowd. Here you'll enjoy sing-alongs and dueling pianos. If you're more into the dance scene then Atlantic Dance Hall is where you want to be!

Most evenings, around 7:00pm, you'll find buskers entertaining just in front of Flying Fish Cafe. I've seen magicians, jugglers and more. It's one of my family's favourite places to be sure to spend an evening during each and every visit to Walt Disney World!

If you have additional questions about your upcoming visit, please feel free to write me back any time Chrystal. I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
