Welcome to planDisney, Cassidi!
Although I've never planned a Disney vacation for 25 people, I have planned a couple of trips involving large groups. In fact, my most recent Disney adventure involved 12 family members. Here are some tips I like to share with Guests who are planning a vacation for a big party:
- Nominate an organized person in the group to lead in planning ahead.
- Consider one another's budgets. You don't want people in the group to feel pressured to spend more money than they can afford.
- Consider one another's travel styles. For example, some people might like sleeping in and enjoying a slower-paced Disney vacation. Others might like being in the theme park from opening to close.
- Make sure everyone communicates their expectations beforehand. Are there certain attractions, restaurants, or characters they want to experience?
- Make sure you plan times to be together as a big group and do your own thing. This was really key for us on our last trip.
- Let each person choose one must-see attraction.
- Use the Disney Genie service to help you plan your itinerary. Consider purchasing Disney Genie+ and/or Individual Lightning Lane entrances to cut down your wait times.
- Make sure you carve out some downtime so that you can relax (this is especially important if you're traveling with young kids).
Cassidi, are you considering staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel? There are so many
benefits to staying onsite, such as complimentary transportation, extra time in the theme parks, and the joy of being immersed in the magic of Disney for the entirety of your trip. Keep an eye on the
special offers page on the Walt Disney World website in case any hotel deals come up between now and your trip. To get a group discount on your Disney Resort stay, you'll need to book 10 or more rooms.
Also, at this time, there are no group discounts on theme park tickets for a group of 25 people. However, you might be pleased to know that you can currently
save money when you purchase 3-day or longer tickets online as compared to the price at the ticket window. And the more days you visit, the steeper the discount gets. "The more you play, the less you pay per day." I'm not sure of the age range within your group, but tickets for kids between 3-10 are a little bit cheaper. Also, any Mousketeers under the age of 3 are considered "Guests of Mickey" and don't need a theme park ticket!
I hope that's helpful, Cassidi. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
Mike
