Hi there, Nicole!
I'm so excited that you're taking your one-year old to Walt Disney World! I just returned from a fabulous vacation with my extended family, including my 11-month old nephew. He had so much fun and it was just the cutest thing ever! By the third day of our vacation, he would stand at our Resort room door and slap the inside of it with a giant smile on his face. It was like he just knew that there was fun to be had on the other side of the door!
My fellow Panelist, Allison V., answered a question similar to yours with
tips for traveling with a 15-month old and she's got some great suggestions on what to bring with you. Also, there are Baby Care Centers in each of the four major Theme Parks where you can take a breather or pick up something you may have forgotten like a jar of baby food or a bib.
There are lots of attractions that you'll be able to enjoy with your little one while visiting Magic Kingdom Park like "it's a small world", Prince Charming Regal Carousel, and the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. There is a great
Traveling with Little Ones page to look over, including more Attraction suggestions. Be sure not to miss the circus-themed play area in the line for Dumbo The Flying Elephant and the Pooh's Interactive Queue at The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, both at Magic Kindom Park.
I'd love to give you some more tips for the other Theme Parks as well! Please feel free to come back and let me know which Parks you're planning to visit and I'd be happy to offer some more recommendations!
Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
