Hi Michelle!
Packages can sometimes be a terrific deal! In fact, the only way that you can purchase the dining plan ( a huge money saver ) is by adding it onto a package. However, you can also save lots of money by booking your resort and tickets separately. While packages are super convenient, they may also contain items that you may or may not want. It may take a little more time, but I HIGHLY advise doing some research before you call to book your trip. Websites such as
www.Mousesavers.com offer a current list of all the discount codes that are available at that time. Some of the codes may only be for Florida residents or Annual Passholders, but many times, discounts are available for any one to use! It helps to be flexible with your dates and resort choices, in order to get the best deal. Once you have checked the availability of discounts, I suggest making a side by side comparison of the two options and see what works out best for your family.
It is important to remember that new discounts and packages are often added, so always be on the lookout for savings! On a side note, travel agents are another option in this process. You may want to contact your favorite travel agent and see what kind of deal he/she can work out for you. Whatever you decide, have a fabulous vacation!!!
Much pixie dust,
Jackie S.
