Wondering approximately how long the monorail ride will take between Magic Kingdom & Epcot? Will be starting our day at Magic Kingdom but have a 12:30 dinner reservation at Teppan Edo at Epcot. Thank you!

    Hi Tammy,

Riding the iconic monorail is a "must do" activity for my family when we visit Walt Disney World.  It is a great way to travel to Epcot.

I heartily suggest you allow 90 minutes to get from the Magic Kingdom to your destination in the Japan Pavilion of Epcot.  You'll need this much time because the journey you describe will have several legs.  You'll start by taking either the express monorail or a ferry boat from the front of the Magic Kingdom to the Ticket and Transportation Center.  At the Ticket and Transportation Center, you will transfer to the Epcot-bound monorail.  This ride is lovely and should only take you 15-20 minutes.  However, once you arrive at Epcot, you'll need to allow yourself time to pass through the turnstiles and walk quite a distance to the Japan Pavilion along World Showcase.  Leave yourself plenty of time and you'll find this journey quite enjoyable.  At Walt Disney World, getting there is half the fun!

Wishing you a truly magical vacation!
