Hi, Jessica, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. Let's make some holiday plans at the Walt Disney World Resort!
It may only be mid-June, but if you ask me, it's never too early to start thinking about Christmas, especially
Christmas at Walt Disney World. Everything about a Disney holiday just seems to sparkle and shine. I never miss the chance to visit during this special season, and I'm excited for you to experience it, too.
One of the brightest stars of Christmas at Walt Disney World is
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, when the Magic Kingdom Park gets all dressed up and wraps Guests in the holiday spirit. From the icy lights on Cinderella Castle and all the yummy holiday treats, to a special fireworks show and Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, it's such an incredible way to spend the holiday.
And if you'd like to really treat yourself, Disney usually does offer some special experiences to make your party time even more magical. Last year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party featured an event called
Tony's Most Merriest Town Square Party that offered a selection of hors d’oeuvres and desserts Guests could indulge in throughout the evening, along with access to a reserved viewing area for the 11:00 p.m. showing of the parade. We haven't heard whether or not it will return for 2019, but it wasn't announced until October last year, so we may need to wait a little while longer to hear more. It's kind of like waiting for Christmas, isn't it?
Jessica, if you're looking for an even more pixie-dusted holiday experience, you might want to check out one of the special holiday-themed tours available at Walt Disney World in November and December!
Disney's Yuletide Fantasy and
Disney's Holiday D-Lights tours each give you a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how Disney makes the magic of the holidays come to life in the Theme Parks and beyond. I just know it will get you in the Christmas spirit!
I hope this helps you plan a magical holiday at Walt Disney World, Jessica. Please come see us again if you have any other questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
