I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the Halloween event is for people with no children? Also when is Disney decorated for Halloween? Lastly do you have to have a ticket into the park plus the not so scary Halloween ticket?

Hello Ashley, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great planning question.

I am so happy to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon and during one of the best times of the year. The fall decor in the Magic Kingdom is amazing. The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is scheduled for mid-August, so the Magic Kingdom will begin to transform before well before Halloween.

Any guest wishing to just attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party needs the special event ticket. Unless you are planning to visit the Magic Kingdom earlier in the day, you would only need a party ticket. You can enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m. before the festivities begin.

This spooktacular event is for children of all ages. Your “ghost host” has a great lineup of villainous entertainment for the evening. You will not want to miss the Happy HalloWishes Fireworks Show or the Boo-To-You Parade and so much more. There are special eats and treats that are exclusive to the party. I am looking forward to dressing up in costume and enjoying some Trick-or-Treating. Yes! Mickey and Minnie are dressing up for the occasion and you can too. Be sure to check the official costuming guidelines for adults. You will have a hauntingly good time.

    Happy Halloween,
    Andrea
