I was wondering if the Animal Kindom Lodge transportation is bad. We are going mostly to Epcot and Magic Kindom and I know the AKL is located as far away as possible from those places. We don't mind buses but we do mind waiting! Should we just rent a car?

    Hello, Olivia!

Thank you for your question and welcome to the Moms Panel.  My family and I simply love staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge!  It is such a beautiful resort!

Since you and your family are on vacation, I would let Disney do all the driving.  The buses at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge run approximately every 20 minutes.  I have never been let down with Disney's Transportation System and have really enjoyed not having to be behind the wheel while on vacation. Some guests do prefer to drive and bypass the wait time, but I feel that 20 minutes is a fair wait time.  Yes, the lodge is further away, but Disney does keep that in mind with the number of buses they send out.

I hope this helps you come closer to a decision on whether to rent a car or not.  Personally, I would utilize the money on some great Disney souvenirs.  Have a magical day!
