I was wondering are we allowed to take our luggage on The Magical Express or do we have to have it picked up behind the scenes. I would much prefer to do it myself (and keep it with me), then waiting for it (possibly getting lost)

Yes you may pick up your luggage prior to boarding the Magical Express!

When you arrive Orlando's International Airport, proceed to the Baggage Claim. Once you have your bags, your next stop is the Disney Welcome Center Desk where you will get your Magical Express bus assignment.

Since you will be told that only one person per family should get in to the line for the Welcome Center, if the rest of the family can get the bags, one person can go on directly to check in for the bus. Thus, you could then get two lines done at once.

You would then meet up near the Disney Welcome Center and proceed up to the red carpet and in line for the bus to your resort. Once your bus arrives, the bus driver will put your luggage in the cargo area and you will board the bus.

This procedure is done every day and no one will think twice of your family getting your luggage. Many families stow their strollers in the cargo area for the ride to the resort.

    Happy planning!
