wondering if an adult can order a kids meal when dining at disney resturants

    Hi Kathleen,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your vacation planning question! You'll be at the Happiest Place on Earth in just a couple of days!

Technically, the kids' meals are for children ages 9 and under. However, there are some adults who have smaller appetites, and there are those who can only eat small portion sizes for health reasons. Personally, I have specifically informed a Cast Member that I am not very hungry and I asked if I could order a kids' meal on numerous occasions. It has never been an issue. In fact, just this past week, my 26-year old daughter ordered a kids' size hibachi entrée at Teppan Edo in Epcot's Japan Pavilion. Our server was fine with it.

If the reason that you are wanting to order a kids' meal is because you prefer the selections rather than because of portion size, you can simply ask them for an adult sized portion of a kids' entrée.

I do want to note that when you are in a buffet dining restaurant, adults must pay adult prices, as the servers don't monitor how much you eat.

    Wishing you magical memories,
