Welcome to planDisney, Leigh. Since we're talking about hopping, let's channel our inner
Tigger and get your question answered!
Currently, when adding the
Park Hopper Option to your
theme park ticket at the
Walt Disney World Resort, the price is tied to the number of days on your ticket. No matter when you add this option, the cost is based on the full length of your ticket, even if you add it in the middle of your vacation after you've already used some of your admission days. So, in your case, adding the Park Hopper Option with four days remaining would still be priced as a five-day Park Hopper because that's the length of your original ticket. If you think there's a chance you'll want to park hop, I'd recommend adding the option before your first park day so you're free to hop around like Tigger whenever the mood strikes, since the price will be the same either way.
Since there is enough to do in each theme park without hopping, I've historically not been a park hopper. However, that all changed when I became an
Annual Passholder. Because park hopping is currently included with
Annual Passes, I always had the option, and before long, I realized Tigger was right: bouncing is what Tiggers (and resort Guests apparently) do best. Especially when an
EPCOT festival is happening, I found myself using it on every trip. Now, I don't know that I could go to the resort without adding this option to my ticket, even if I don't have an Annual Pass. It just adds convenience and flexibility. If I want to start my morning in one park and then pounce to another (usually to graze around an EPCOT festival), I just hop onto some
Disney Resort Transportation, and I'm on my way.
Leigh, enjoy bouncing around the resort like Tigger! If you have any other questions,
I'm happy to answer them!
TTFN! Ta-ta for now,
Matt
