Hiya Courtney!
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for submitting your question! I am so excited that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort soon and I am honoured to be helping you during your planning process. You picked such a magical time to come to visit with
The World's Most Magical Celebration in full swing. You will also get there right in time to enjoy the last bit of the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival - my favourite! If you want to try a fun seasonal snack, I cannot recommend Japan's Frushi enough.
As I live in Canada, I understand that it can sometimes be confusing to plan your whole trip from afar, but I'm here to help you. You and me, we're in a club now! Disney's new
Annual Pass program includes four new passes: the Disney Pixie-Dust Pass, the Disney Pirate Pass, the Disney Sorcerer Pass and the Disney Incredi-Pass. As out-of-state guests, we can either purchase the Disney Sorcerer Pass (if you are a Disney Vacation Club Member) or the
Disney Incredi-Pass. I bought the Incredi-Pass in October of 2021, and I love it! There is no better feeling than knowing that I can go to the theme parks whenever I want and without being mindful of blockout dates, and the special discounts are always deeply appreciated.
Unfortunately, the sale of new Disney World Annual Passes is currently on hold, meaning out-of-state guests cannot purchase a new Annual Pass at this time. However, Disney is always evolving, and things are constantly changing! As Walt Disney said himself, it will always be in a state of becoming (well, he was talking about EPCOT, but this quote could not better represent the parks in general!) Therefore, I would recommend that you keep your eyes peeled as Disney World Annual Passes could truly go back on sale at any time. To stay up-to-date about the latest Disney news, definitely follow
Disney Parks Blog online and on social media. I always turn to Disney Parks Blog to learn about the newest offerings around the parks!
I hope this was helpful, Courtney, and that you can get back to planning your magical vacation real soon! I understand that this might not be the news that you expected, but do not forget that you can always purchase your tickets and put the price of those tickets towards an Annual Pass. Indeed, if Annual Passes are being sold when you come down to Florida for your magical visit, you can simply go to a ticketing window and purchase an Annual Pass - you will only need to pay for the price difference. I am sending you all the pixie dust and wishing upon a star that you will be able to join us Annual Passholders real soon!
Have a magical day,
Ariane
