Hi! Wondering how we would be able to get from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness, and how long approx. it will take? Also, trying to decide between Trails End Resturant and Whispering Canyon Cafe, any sugg? Thanks!

    Hi Michelle!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

The easiest way from Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is by boat.  Take a boat with a blue flag - these stop at Fort Wilderness, Disney's Contemporary Resort and the Magic Kingdom park.  Depending on the time of day the boat will be running clockwise or anti-clockwise.  If Fort Wilderness is your first stop it will be a very short boat ride, a few minutes.  Otherwise, it could take around 20 minutes to do the whole trip.

One of my favourite restaurants is Whispering Canyon Cafe - this is a lively, entertaining restaurant, with lots of fun and activity to watch!  The focus is on family, with good hearty food, and sometimes lots of noise, but always in good humour.  The Cast Members here are, in my opinion, some of the most entertaining, hardest working restaurant servers.  You can always request a quieter table if you would prefer.  Trails End serves good food, and is altogether a slower-paced,more relaxed dining experience.

If you have any other questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan you magical vacation!
