Hi! I was wondering if I would be able to see the castle light up with lights before having to the leave the park at 6pm on a mickeys Christmas party day?

Happy holidays, Kristen! Is it too early? Well, seeing as though the holidays start in November at the Walt Disney World Resort and we're almost there, I think it's okay for me to say that!

As many times as I've been to the Walt Disney World Resort, I have actually only been there during the holiday season once. As a teacher, it's hard for me to get there during the school year, but let me tell you, it's a wonderful time to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth. Last year, I was lucky enough to be sent to the Disneyland Resort through planDisney during this time of year and it was just as magical. Somehow, the lights are brighter, the smells are homier, and the magic just seems more powerful. Everything has the power to pull at your heartstrings and make memories to last a lifetime. In fact, if you want to capture those memories and put them into a holiday card, the planDisney team shared some great ideas for doing just that on the Disney Parks Blog.

During the Halfway to the Holidays celebration this past June, the Disney Parks Blog announced that there will be a new Frozen-themed experience that will light up the Castle during both regular park hours and during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. So it seems you'll be able to see Cinderella Castle light up before your eyes this holiday season whether you are attending the party or not. I would suggest that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more details as the holiday season quickly approaches.

If you want to continue getting into the holiday spirit, a visit to Disney Springs will do the trick. And the best part? You don't even need a theme park ticket to get in! The Christmas Tree Stroll usually takes place throughout this shopping and dining district and each tree is a sight to behold. My favorite trees are the ones themed to the Haunted Mansion and The Little Mermaid, but each one has a unique theme and creates a wonderful photo opportunity.

Kristen, enjoy your holiday visit. If you have any other questions, please reach out directly to me and I'd be happy to find the answers for you!

    Ring in the season,
    Matt
