Wonderful! Thanks for your insight. I have already received approval from the admin so planning can move forward. Is there private security for hire at night? What kind of special surprises for students? How big of a group do you recommend...I have 30.

    Welcome back, Adrienne!

I am so pleased to hear that your administration supports your plan to travel with your students to Walt Disney World Resort. What a wonderful opportunity you are providing for your students.

There are a number of private security companies that the Disney Youth Office recommends to schools. The company they recommend most frequently is Securitas. If you'd would like to contract with Securitas for their services while you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you should reach out to the company's business development manager, Michael Peters. He can be reached at (407) 351-0144. Be sure to mention that you are participating in a Disney Youth program as they will offer you a discounted rate. Your Disney Youth sales representative can offer additional companies to investigate if you'd like to compare prices.

As for surprises, there are so many big and small things you can do to "plus" your students' experience at Walt Disney World Resort. I like to order personalized, wearable buttons from an Etsy vendor prior to the trip. Then, each student can earn his or her button by completing a photo scavenger hunt during their stay. My students love this, and they end up generating some fabulous keepsake photos during the scavenger hunt.

One of the big surprises I enjoy sharing with my students is an IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth cruise on the night we arrive. Each boat holds 10 individuals so your party of 30 will require 3 boats. (Thirty is a great number of participants, by the way.) I have booked that many boats before and it makes for such a festive, unforgettable experience. You'll want to call (407) WDW-PLAY 180 days in advance to reserve the boats.

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Best wishes,
    Jill
