Hello Wonderful People! I need suggestions on the best way to travel from the Caribbean Resort to MK and AK. We will have our own car, but would the bus and monorail be easier? Thank you in advance! You are all awesome!

    Hi Beth!

Welcome to the Moms Panel! Thanks for your question and your compliment!

My family usually has a car when on our Disney vacations, and they can be a time saver since you don't have to wait for the next arriving bus from the resort to take you to your destination, and can make traveling from resort to resort easier, too!

For Magic Kingdom, though, it's a tough call for me. I've both driven and taken the resort bus to Magic Kingdom and I lean towards using the Disney buses a bit more because to park at the Magic Kingdom, you'll still need take a monorail or ferry to get over to the park, all which adds to the wait. Using Disney transportation, the bus drops you off just outside of Magic Kingdom. The only sort of downside is that at the end of the day, you might find that the bus loading area for the Caribbean Beach Resort is one of the furthest from you as you are walking out of the park and to the bus pick up area. It really isn't horrible, but at the end of a long day with tired feet, you might be reconsidering your choices! This is doubly true if you have children with strollers in tow!

As for the other parks, like Animal Kingdom, parking your car is easier and if you aren't parked real close to the entrance, trams are continually running to take you from the parking area to the front of the park.

I hope this helps, but feel free to come back to the Moms Panel if you need any more help!

     Have a magical vacation!
