    Hi Lynn

First of all, thank you for the compliment...we are all really enjoying sharing our tips and advice to help others enjoy their Walt Disney World vacation to its fullest and it is nice to hear that people are getting something out of this and that our job here is a valid and helpful one!  Now...on to your question, yes, you are correct!  The new Dining Plan provisions are that it doesn't matter which dining plan you are on and gratuities are no longer included in the dining plans unless otherwise indicated!  They do automatically add 18% to your bill if you are a dining party of 6 or more people.  An automatic gratuity charge may also be added to your bill for items that are not included in the Disney Dining Plan, Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, Disney Premium Plan or Disney Platinum Plan (e.g., alcoholic beverages).  I hope this reconfirms it for you.

    Have a magical day!
