Hello wonderful Panel! We're staying at AoA for the first time this March. Looks like the Family Suite has disposable cups/plates/etc. Are there any microwavable cups in the room so we can heat up water, or should we bring one from home? Thank you!

    Hello wonderful Emily!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm happy to help!

First of all, you're going to LOVE your stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. My family stayed in a Finding Nemo Family Suite last Christmas and it was amazing. It was almost as if we were sleeping in the"Big Blue World" surrounded by Marlin, Nemo and their ocean friends. I was there with my mom and my two teenage daughters, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. Having two bathrooms was especially great with four women getting ready in the mornings!

The Family Suites feature kitchenettes that have a small refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a sink. The kitchenettes are stocked with paper products, such as paper plates/bowls, plastic drinking cups, paper towels and plastic flatware. Next to the coffee maker, you'll find cups that are specifically made for holding hot beverages like coffee and hot tea. I wasn't sure if those cups were microwave-friendly, so I checked in with the folks at Art of Animation to make sure. The nice fella I spoke with said he "wouldn't recommend" microwaving the cups, so it might be a good idea to pack your own.

I hope this helps with your planning and packing. Please let us know if you have any more questions before your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation in March! - Diane W.
