Hi Wonderful Moms Panel! First time WDW visit! I want to experience Disney at Xmas as I hear it is magical, however, want to avoid the crowds during the week of Xmas. Can you advise what the crowd level is like during the week before Xmas 12/13-12/20? Ty!

    Hi Khadijah:

Disney World during the Christmas holidays is wonderful.  The Parks and Resorts are decorated in Christmas theming and Holiday music plays just about everywhere you go on property.  Disney is generally very crowded Christmas week through New Years as many families take advantage of school holiday vacations to visit the Parks during the holidays.  While Disney World generally attracts crowds year round, you'll likely find that the Disney crowds are light by Disney standards the week prior to Christmas as many schools are still in session.  While you'll likely find some lines and crowds the week before Christmas, the lines will generally be more manageable and much shorter than if you traveled Christmas week into New Years.

If you are able to travel the week you suggest and do not feel the need to be at Disney World during Christmas, I would take advantage of traveling to Disney World the week before Christmas.

    Enjoy your vacation.
