Hi there, Erin!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for this great question. Your plan to give your friend a piece of the magic is so incredibly thoughtful. She is so fortunate to have you in her life.
As you mentioned, the commemorative bricks lining the entrance to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are no longer able to be purchased at this time. This program called "The Walk of Magical Memories" ended in 2011 unfortunately, but there are still many ways to give your friend a gift she will cherish for the rest of her life.
I you happen to be in the parks, I recommend swinging by the famous
Silhouette Studio on Main Street, U.S.A. to get a custom hand-cut silhouette of your friend. All you need to do is bring a profile photo, and these talented artists can cut her silhouette on the spot. This iconic treasure is a perfect keepsake and also is inexpensive! Another custom gift at the park is a personalized drinking glass from Crystal Arts located on Main Street, U.S.A. Another great gift is a custom Character or Park Icon Sketch from Disneyana located in Town Square. I just love these one-of-a-kind souvenirs from the parks.
If you plan on purchasing your gift online, you can find some wonderful art or crystal figurines on shopDisney.com as well. Don't forget you always can give the gift of Disney magic with a Disney Gift Card that can be later used to purchase park tickets, Disneyland Resort Tours, merchandise, dining, and even hotel stays.
I hope these ideas were helpful. Please return if you have any other questions. Have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah day!
