Ahoy there, James, and welcome aboard planDisney.
Ah, the collapsible wagon. The white whale of convenience barred from Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort...but let me tell ye yet another tale of how Disney Cruise Line be a different, more relaxin' vacation than any other...
Sorry. I've been answering a lot of
Pirate Night questions lately...
I'm happy to report that yes, collapsible wagons are allowed to be brought aboard the ships of the Disney Cruise Line fleet. I should reiterate that collapsible wagons are the only type of wagon that is permitted, and there's
a very comprehensive list of prohibited items on the Disney Cruise Line website to be sure that everything you are planning to pack is approved.
Remember that strollers or collapsible wagons (and practically everything else you bring aboard) need to be stored in your
stateroom, and the largest storage space in most staterooms is the space under the bed, which is around 14 inches tall. As Crush might say "I so totally recommend you pack accordingly."
Whether you ultimately decide to bring your wagon or decide to be part of "team no elevators" like my family, the choice is yours! If you ask me, the convenience of a wagon is great, but a few extra decks-worth of stairs holding the kiddos is a great way to work up an appetite - especially on sea days, haha!
Thank you so much for your question, James, and if any others surface as you get closer and closer to your sailing next month, be sure to sail our way again here at planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
