Hiya Brooke,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so happy you are here and that I can help answer your question today. On every trip to Walt Disney World, I take what seems like a million photos of my family (at least, that is how Prince Charming feels). I can’t help it! I love that photos help you capture memories, and with little ones growing so fast, every picture and memory becomes even more precious.
Brooke, I’m sorry your photos from your past visit expired. Unfortunately, with millions of photos taken each day by PhotoPass photographers, there is no way for Disney to store images beyond a certain point permanently. I spoke to a Cast Member, and depending on when your photos were taken, there is a chance that you may be able to purchase what’s known as a
one-time expiration extension for expired photos that will give you an extra 15 days before the photos expire again. The caveat is that this extension can only be applied if your photos expired in the last 15 days. Also, you can only get one extension each calendar year. If you are eligible, you can find the application by opening your
PhotoPass gallery and going to the “Help” menu. On your
mobile device, it should say something like “Get help from Disney PhotoPass service.” Once you click that, you will see an option to “Apply a photo extension” under the subsequent Disney PhotoPass Help menu.
I hope this was helpful and that you are able to retrieve your photos. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
