Ahoy, Amy!
I'm happy you stopped by the Moms Panel website with your question. I had the same concerns when we first cruised with a 2-year-old. The good news is, most parents with tiny cruisers are in the same boat. (no pun intended!) Therefore, nursery reservations can become a bit flexible when other moms and dads need to adjust their reservations as well.
If you're planning to enjoy any Adult-Only Dining at
Palo, make sure to secure a nursery slot during those hours. Keep in mind, if you need to change or cancel a nursery reservation, you'll need to call at least four hours prior to your reserved time to avoid a cancellation fee. After the initial reservation period has passed, nursery slots are on a first-come, first-serve basis. You're more than welcome to request additional nursery time if it is available. There will be several opportunities on embarkation day to make reservations.
Flounder's Reef Nursery is a wonderful, fun space for the littlest cruisers, with highly trained counselors that look after your child's every need. One of my favorite memories from our first cruise was stopping by to pick up my daughter, and seeing her snuggled up rocking in Mulan's lap. It's no wonder Mulan was her very favorite princess for many years! Another evening, we came by to find her playing tag with Chip and Dale! Rest assured, your little one will be entertained and taken well care of while visiting Flounder's Reef.
I hope this helps, and that you and your family have a wonderful time cruising the Panama Canal! Say hi to Captain Mickey for me! - Diane W.
