Welcome Aboard, Francois!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question - I'm happy to help!
I'm sure you must be counting down the days until you set sail on your Disney Cruise Line vacation. It will be here before you know it! Your kids are at great ages to enjoy all there is to see and do on a Disney Cruise - they will have the time of their lives.
I'm so happy to hear your kids will be visiting the Youth Clubs on the ship. At age 9, your youngest will fit right in at the Oceaneer Club. At age 11, your older child can choose between the
Oceaneer Club and
Edge, the tween club. Most siblings, if they are close in age, choose to go to the same club. That being said, if they choose to split up, that's fine too!
You will register your kids for the clubs either at the port or once you board the ship. Youth counselors will be available at the terminal and also during Open House hours the first afternoon to help with the signup process. It only takes a few minutes to get your kids squared away for access to the Youth Clubs.
If you'd like your kids to stay onboard in the club while you head off the ship for a Port Adventure, you are more than welcome to do so! The Oceaneer Club/Lab typically opens at 9:00am, but they will adjust the schedule according to when the ship pulls into port. To check the hours/activities in the Youth Clubs each day, simply check your Personal Navigator - a daily schedule delivered to your stateroom.
I hope this helps with your planning! Have a magical day - Diane W.
