Ahoy, Amy!
Thanks for cruising by the Moms Panel with your question! I'm happy to help.
Packing for a cruise can be stressful, especially for an over-packer like me! It really helps to know the dress code for your itinerary, so you'll know exactly what to bring. The dress code for dinner varies each night. On a four-night cruise, here's what you can expect:
The first night is cruise casual, which means no swimwear or tank tops. You'll enjoy one pirate or tropical night (deck party) - make sure to pack your favorite pirate gear! You'll have one optional dress-up night - this typically means jackets for men, and dresses or pantsuits for women. Your final night is cruise casual. If you have reservations at
Palo, the Adult Exclusive restaurant, there is a stricter dress code when dining there.
You won't have a formal night during your sailing, and the dress-up night is optional. I will, however, encourage you to think about taking advantage of the opportunity to dress up one evening. It's a wonderful opportunity to get formal photos taken by the ship's photographers. You'll find several photo spots set up in the Atrium Lobby, with lovely themed backdrops. Our favorite photo spot on the Disney Wonder is at the bottom of the main staircase, right next to the beautiful bronze statue of Ariel!
I hope this helps with your planning and packing. Please let us know if you have any more questions as your sail date gets closer!
Have a magical day! - Diane W.
