Ahoy, David! Welcome back to planDisney. We're so glad to see you here while you prepare for that magical moment when the cast and crew welcome you aboard your
Disney Cruise Line vacation.
My family's adventure to
Alaska aboard the
Disney Wonder will forever be one of our favorite vacations—and that bar is high. The views were stunning. The experiences were mind-blowing. And the Disney service was, well, Disney service. Perfection!
On your Disney Cruise Line adventure, there are four individuals who are with you throughout your voyage, taking care of you and your family.
Tips for your Dining Room Server, Dining Room Assistant Server, Dining Room Head Server and Stateroom Host will be added to your onboard account at the current rate of $16 USD per person per night of your cruise. Near the end of the cruise, you will receive paper sheets and envelopes in your stateroom to share these tips with your team. We have had dining teams that were so amazing that we chose to add additional tips, which we did with US dollar bills.
Purchases on board, including gratuities for beverages and
Senses Spa & Salon services, are in US dollars. I considered exchanging money for CAD while in Vancouver, but I found that US dollars were so common that we didn't need to.
The
Port Adventures on the Alaskan cruises get so much attention (deservedly so), but be sure to catch some of the special offerings on board. Our cruise had several naturalists who gave lectures, and I am still sharing what I learned from them about whales and glaciers. It made the wonder around us even more wonderful. Be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to see all that is available for a magical cruise.
I hope this helps, David. If you have any other questions, you know you have a friend in
planDisney.
SEAS the Adventure!
