Wold there be any way we could could get to the Chip n' Dale campfire on Nov. 8 if we have a 5:45pm reservation at Artist Point? We have a golf cart rented for that day. I really want to do both...Thanks!

    Lynn:

I think you can make it but your schedule will be tight.

Keep in mind that you won't be able to ride your golf cart off of Fort Wilderness property, and you'll park it near cart parking at the fort's marina. From there, you'll take the ferry that services the Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge.  It will be a 20-minute ride to the lodge as you'll stop first at the Contemporary.

I would arrive a little early for your dinner reservations, at least 20 minutes, so you're not rushed.  Typically, Signature Dining at Disney takes about 1 1/2 hours, so make sure you let the wait staff know you'll need your bill when you order dessert.  Allow yourself 30 minutes for the ferry (for the wait and the 10-minute direct route back to the fort).  From the marina, you'll need to take the golf cart along the Yellow Bus Route to get to the campfire, then taking the road that leads to the tennis courts. (If you're used to the short cut through Loop 1400 from the marina, I noticed it's been blocked off.)

You can see from this timetable that your schedule is tight. Arriving for dinner at least 20 minutes ahead of time if not more may help gain you a little time along with doing a little homework on knowing your route from the pier to the campfire, possibly scouting out earlier in the day.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
