Hi there, Julie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
First of all, I applaud your commitment to your dining desires! As a foodie myself, I can relate to waking up early to try to secure my favorite restaurants during my trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Space 220 Restaurant has certainly taken this galaxy by storm! As one of the most popular and highly-reserved restaurants at Walt Disney World, this can be a tough reservation to grab. You are correct that you can make
advance dining reservations 60 days ahead of your arrival. The reservation window opens at 6 a.m. EST that day, so if you were searching at midnight, those reservations would not have been available just yet. I like to log into my
My Disney Experience App and begin refreshing reservations about 15 minutes early, just so I'm prepared when I see the times I want pop up on the screen!
Since this is a highly-sought reservation, it is difficult to reserve both 60 days out and closer to your arrival date. If you're unable to secure that reservation, you may consider utilizing the
Space 220 Lounge as a walk-up Guest. Though the full menu is not offered in the lounge, you'll find a less expensive and also delicious
lunch menu and
dinner menu available for your tasing pleasure. Now, as you could imagine, many Guests will have the same idea, so you'll want to arrive well ahead of the posted opening time to try to get a spot in the Lounge. Though it is not guaranteed, it is worth the wait to dine in space during this out-of-this-world experience!
Julie, don't forget that in order to enter Space 220 Restaurant, Space 220 Lounge and
EPCOT in general, you will need valid admission tickets and a
park pass reservation. Once you've booked these, you'll be one step closer to dining amongst the stars!
Best,
Ashley
