Hi, At the WL, do rooms that open out to lobby also have open balconies? Planning a solo trip & would feel more comfortable in a room that opens to lobby (I think) but would like an open balcony also (not enclosed). What type of room would I request. T

    Hello, Karen,

Yes, all the rooms at Disney's Wilderness Lodge do have balconies, and the rooms on the 7th floor, which are the concierge rooms, have a private balcony.  The rooms that overlook the lobby are either Wood Views rooms or Courtyard Views rooms, specifically those on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floor ending in 70-99. My favorite rooms are those in what is known as the "bear's face," which are a small number of courtyard view rooms that not only look out onto the courtyard, but also they have a direct view of Bay Lake. These are also the rooms that look out onto the lobby. Their room numbers end in 71-77 and are on the 4th floor and higher.

I have great memories of staying in one of those rooms while our youngest was just a baby.  One restless late night I went to walk with him in the hallway right outside our room and ended up watching the process of taking down the Christmas tree in the lobby. It was amazing to see the synchronized efforts of the crew and how quickly and efficiently they worked together.  Wishing you an equally memorable trip!
