Hello Judye!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with an excellent question!
It is absolutely magical to
celebrate the holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort. I visited for the first time as a child during this time of the year, and I believe that it helped me to instantly fall in love with Disney.
This is truly the most enchanted time of the year and also the busiest, especially the days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, with some parks like Magic Kingdom almost reaching maximum capacity on Christmas day. At times like this, I highly recommend taking advantage of Extra Magic Hours. If you have already visited theme parks during Extra Magic Hours then you already understand that this is a great
benefit available for Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels. All parks are going to be very busy, so having some time available only for Disney Resort hotel Guests is a great privilege.
It might not be your plan, but I highly recommend buying admission tickets with park hopper option. This will allow you to hop to another park if you feel the one you are visiting is getting too busy. I have one exception, and that’s Magic Kingdom Park. As this park can reach capacity early in the day on December 24 and 25, if you plan on spending the day there, I suggest arriving early and staying until the time you plan on leaving. I would go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on December 24, and Epcot on December 25, if visiting any parks during these dates.
I hope this helps you while planning! Have a very merry Christmas at the place where dreams come true!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
