Is the Wishes Dessert Party a good place to take a 3 year old? It will be his first Disney trip!

    Hi Monica,

Sounds like you are planning an AWESOME first trip for your little guy! Be sure to stop by Guest Relations & pick up a "1st Visit" button for him. When you get home, write the date on the back with a permanent marker - a great free souvenEAR for his 1st visit.

I love the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party for a lot of reasons. My boys are young, one of which is special needs & this was an awesome experience for both. There is a restroom nearby which was nice with kids. There was lots of "elbow" room so kids could move around without bumping into everyone. You didn't have to line up 2 hours in advance for a good spot to see the fireworks. The dessert party begins an hour prior to whenever Wishes is scheduled & you get to spend it eating wonderful desserts. There is a PhotoPass Photographer on hand to get some great shots of your family with Cinderella Castle in the background.

None of the tables were set up right next to the outside walls but all looked like they offered a super view.  If you can't see as well as you'd like I did see people moving chairs around just before the fireworks began. It was a very relaxed atmosphere with an incredible view of the castle & Tinker Bell flies right towards you before disappearing over your head.
The menu included some items geared toward kids like Rice Krispie Treats, cookies, doughnut holes, cupcakes, brownies & fresh fruit. Beverages included milk, hot tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit punch & water.

It was one of the best places I've ever viewed Wishes inside the Magic Kingdom. While is isn't something we do every trip, we do it as often as we can.

Reservations can be make online (see link above) or by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Payment is required at the time of booking. Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
