The Wishes Dessert Party has been extended until December 29, 2010. I just booked for August 19th and was charged $27.68 per adult and $14.90 per child. I thought the price was $21.99 and $10.99. Was I overcharged or have the prices changed?

    Hi Jill,

I was so excited to hear that they've extended the Wishes Dessert Party!  I love it - its my favorite way to watch the fireworks from inside the Magic Kingdom.  Prices for special experiences like the Wishes Dessert Party are seasonal so you could book the same experience twice in a year and pay different prices. That happened to me and Mickey's Backyard BBQ earlier this year.  When I saw my credit card statement for the amount for my fall visit, the cost was lower than the previous time we visited over spring break.  My first thought was that I must have told them the wrong number of guests and I panicked thinking what I'd do if I could not get another person on the reservation. My second thought was how I'd break it to my husband that he'd be the one sitting out - LOL!   When I called to check, I was told that prices are seasonal and my 2nd trip to Mickey's Backyard BBQ this year will actually be less expensive because it will be during a non-peak season.

I called Disney Dining (407-WDW-DINE) for you to confirm the prices for Aug. 19th and was told that it is $27.68 for ages 10 & up and $14.90 for ages 3 - 9 during that time.

You won't be disappointed though.  The desserts are out of this world - be sure to eat an early dinner so that you are good and hungry for the Wishes Dessert Party.  You'll have the best view of the fireworks inside the Magic Kingdom and you won't be in the sea of people watching - you'll have tons of elbow room and easy access to a restroom. Oh yea, when Tinker Bell flies - she'll come right towards you and disappear over your head so have your cameras ready.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
