Welcome aboard planDisney, Victoria! Your trip is just a few more months away, and pretty soon you'll be feeling the sea breezes blowing all your cares away. Thanks for bringing your question to us about
theme nights on the
Disney Wish so we can help you prepare for your cruise.
There are two nights on your cruise you should think about preparing for. Please keep in mind that cruise casual is always acceptable, and participation in anything else is optional. That being said, your cruise has an optional dress up night on the 2nd night of your sailing. I've often worn casual dresses on this night similar to what I might wear for happy hour when I'm out with friends, and I've seen men dress in slacks and polo shirts or button down shirts. This is a good opportunity to take more elegant photos with your travel mates as a few sophisticated back drops will be available in the lobby for professional photo ops.
Night three of your cruise is
Pirate Night, which is one of the liveliest nights of the voyage. You'll see anything from fully decked-out pirate attire to simple t-shirts and bandanas. Characters even greet in their finest pirate wear. The main dining rooms will have a pirate-themed menu, and entertainment for the evening will be centered around pirates as well. The best part for me is the Pirate's Rockin' Parlay Party on the deck featuring a live band with fireworks. Keep an eye on your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for the full line-up of fun one you're on board. I like to place a heart by the things I'm most interested in so I'll get a notification 15 minutes before they begin. This helps keep me from missing anything that's important.
Victoria, my wish for you is that you have a wonderful cruise. Please sail back by with any other planning questions.
Let your dreams guide you!
