We wish to ride Avatar FOP and need rider swqp. We plan to use a fast pass for this ride; it is my understanding that only the initial party to ride will need the fast pass. The second party just uses the rider swap return. Is that correct?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Susan! I'm so glad I can help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

Disney's Rider Switch Service has been a saving grace for my family and I! With two little ones who aren't so thrilled about rides, we've utilized the service many times. It integrates with your MagicBand, ticket, and My Disney Experience and is truly time-saving and easy to use!

Your entire party will need to approach the Cast Member at the Avatar Flight of Passage queue to request Disney's Rider Switch Service. Only the first adult who goes through the queue needs to have a FastPass+ for the attraction. The second rider will be given a Rider Switch entitlement to bypass the Standby line and gain entrance to the FastPass+ line.

What a thrilling experience, to board your own banshee and explore all of Pandora. I hope you and your family have a wonderful vacation, Susan!

    Sivako!
