Now that the Wish has done several passenger cruises, is it now known what deck smoking is allowed? Thank you

Ahoy there, Suzanne! Welcome aboard planDisney!

Ah, file this one under "one of the more obscure questions we get here at planDisney" but I'm sure it's one that many Guests are curious about! While I'm sure there are many who assume that smoking may be prohibited on Disney Cruise Line, they would be mistaken! Though these spaces do tend to be hidden away in equally obscure areas of the ship - like a side door out to a hidden deck on Meridian on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, or the aft of Deck 4 on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder!

Now, on the Disney Wish, the smoking areas have not been updated on the deck plans on the Disney Cruise Line website, but I made note of them when I sailed this July for moments just like this! I've got great news for whomever in your crew needs to know: both smoking areas are found on Deck 14, which should make them easy to remember, as well! One is located on Deck 14 Forward near Currents, and the other is Deck 14, Aft just above the Quiet Cove Pool, which is accessible by a set of stairs from the Quiet Cove area. Talk about places with great views, and easily accessible from the topside decks!

Remember, these locations are always subject to change, but if you have any issues finding them while aboard, a crew member will be able to direct you topside!

I remember thinking "wow, I hardly even knew that there were smoking areas" when I was sailing on the Disney Wonder on our Panama Canal Cruise - until we were being refueled by a tanker ship and the announcement came over the speakers that the entire port side of the ship was off-limits! I'll never forget the massive "No Smoking" sign on the bridge of the tanker ship! haha!

I hope that helps you set a course as you continue planning your exciting Disney Cruise Line adventure, Suzanne! Thank you for your question, and if you have any others as your sail date comes over the horizon, please drop us another line here at planDisney!

    Fair winds and following seas!
